Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital Inc., the game's developer had this to say.
"It is a design that has grit but is still beautiful. I think that's what really makes the IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo a Zagato. It carries the heritage of the brand with design cues such as the double bubble roof, dual humps that are signature to the Milan design house,"
The IsoRivolta isn't just digital, however, a real-life version has been made by Zagato. The chassis is one of a kind, made just for this concept. The engine, a twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter V-8, was taken from a Callaway Corvette. Designed for fictional level racing, the IsoRivolta is fast, capable of 0 to 62 mph in only 2.7 seconds and a max speed of 227 mph.
While as nice as that sounds, there will be very few real-life recreations of the IsoRivolta. Zagato says it intends to build no more than five IsoRivoltas, maybe less. Even so, pricing hasn't been announced, and odds are it's more money than I'll ever see.
