While everyone else is making luxury SUVs, former Atlanta Braves outfielder Andrew Jones is making his Jeep Wrangler something more fitting for the outfield. With a little help by Atlanta-located Monster Customs, Jones modified the Wrangler into a 6x6, Hemi V8 revving monster.
The original 3.6-liter V-6 engine was replaced with a 6.4-liter V-8, while the transmission was upgraded to a six-speed automatic instead of the old five. The rear was converted into a truck bed style, where it houses dual heavy-duty axles. The Wrangler itself has been lifted 4.5 inches, while 22-inch wheels hold it firmly to the ground.
The front was given a far more intimidating design, with a unique grille and powerful LED lights. The back keeps it more on the mild side, with generic vertical tail lights instead of the Wrangler's standard box lights.
Inside, the leather seats are given a self-aware style, with sharp red leather strips stitched into the seats in the same way you'd see with a baseball glove. With plenty of leather all around, you won't see any plastic.
Want one for yourself? This very model is actually for sale. Even in this state, it's hard to justify the $269,800. But I've seen baseball memorabilia go before, they don't go cheap.
