When it comes to performance electric vehicles, Tesla is top dog. But if Planet Earth has taught me anything, there will be many contenders wanting to overthrow the king. In this case, it's Xing Mobility and their electric supercar, Miss R.
The Taiwanese firm is confident that their vehicle can out-perform the Tesla Roadster's 0 to 60 mph time of 1.9 seconds. According to a statement made earlier this week, the Miss R prototype has a whopping 1,341 horsepower and is capable of 0-60 mph in only 1.8 seconds. The prototype is currently undergoing testing in a variety of terrains.
The Miss R prototype will also appear at AutoTronics Taipei this week to premiere its battery pack. According to the firm, the pack will have 4,116 cells and 98 modules, one of the highest power-density EV batteries available on the market.
The body, seen above, may not be its final design. It currently has an interim prototype body. Which is OK by me, personally. It's not the best looking body.
Xing Mobility isn't the only one looking to usurp Tesla. Rimac already revealed their 1,914 hp C_Two, and Aspark showed off their electric supercar last year, named Owl. Neither of the vehicles has beaten the Roadster's 0-60 time, however. So I'm not too confident in the Miss R.
Only time will tell.
