The Demon is an unforgettable vehicle. Dodge's muscle car's creation was a from-the-heart project for everyone involved. Even for the creator of its iconic logo.
Mark Trostle, head of design for Dodge and SRT, posted a compilation image of various designs for the Demon's symbol. Seeing the image's transformation between skulls, beards, and beasts is both fascinating and insightful. Many of the images are more animalistic, looking like a demonized hellcat, while others opt for a more "bare bones" look of skulls and horns.
Some are a tad too freaky, while others overly cartoonish. In the end, we think they made the best choice. It was unique and bold enough to the car of the same description, without being too much.
The Demon Challenger is by no means a mild car. Its 840-horsepower make the street-legal vehicle capable of raising off its front wheels when in full kick. It actually holds the Guinness World Record as first production car capable of such.
Only 3,300 Demons will be produced this year. So those sporting the logo on their Challenger, sport it proudly.
