Ford bringing back the Bronco for the 2020 season has brought about a rekindled interest in the model line. As a result, demand for Bronco restorations is skyrocketing. Thankfully, Velocity Restorations Pensacola, Florida, is on the job.

The restoration company recently finished their first full resto of a 1973 Ford Bronco, taking a reported 1,500 hours to complete. It included a complete frame removal, metal fabrication, and rust repair everywhere. By the time they were done, it could outperform even modern day models.

The inner mechanics were also upgraded in the process, technically making it a restomod. The vehicle now features a Ford 5.0-liter V8 engine with four-speed manual transmission and a custom exhaust. We don't have the official performance specs on this one, unfortunately.

Underneath is a custom suspension, increasing lift a solid 3.5 inches, front and rear sway bars, and a set of Wilwood disc brakes wrapped around Dana 44 front axles and 9-inch rear axles.

The cabin has undergone additional improvements as well. the gauges have been digitized, a modern audio system was included, as well as modern climate controls. To maintain the retro look, hand-stitched leather bathes a majority of surfaces in an elegant brown tone.

Once built, Velocity Restorations performs multiple quality checks before delivering to the customer. The entire process isn't cheap, costing around $229,000.
