Trans Am Depot, the tuner with a specialty for the Firebird specialty package, has returned with their modified 455 Super Duty. The vehicle, built as a drag racer to compete against the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, has been finalized, and with it, we see the numbers.

The 455 Super Duty is capable of 1,100 horsepower, a good 260 more than the Demon. Trans Am Depot estimates a quarter mile time in the low 9-second mark, with a possibility to enter the 8-second zone. This is thanks to the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 from a Camaro SS, modified to stroke a full 7.5 liters.

They achieved this by switching the fuel for race gas and adding a methanol injection. The numbers could be even better, but the vehicle is restricted by its 8-speed automatic transmission, which already needed to be reinforced to handle the standard 455 Super Duty's output.

The changes don't stop there, either. The 455 Super Duty has a 9.0-inch rear differential from Strange Engineering, a set of springs from Eibach, a roll cage and five-point harness, carbon fiber body panels, and a set of wheels from Weld wrapped in drag radials. Most importantly, there's a parachute behind the rear license plate.

Way down at the bottom of the receipt, you'll see a final price of $110,000. That's only for the base model. the full drag package option will cost nearly $190,000. At least that's what's estimated. Only one example has been made so far, to serve as an example.

So if you're looking for something with obnoxious power and happen to have 1/5th of a million dollars lying around, there's an option for you.
