It's been about eight years since Pontiac became a defunct brand. With that, we saw the loss of such muscle cars as the G6. Even so, history lives on through Trans Am Depot, which hosts a number of memorable cars. Their most recent edition is an excellent mark towards that mantra, with a Trans Am Super Duty.
Starting with a Chevrolet Camaro for a base, the Trans Am Super Duty utilized a 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 engine. From there, they transformed it into the closest they can get to a modern day 455 V-8. In the end, it could push out 1,000 horsepower and 1,046 pound-feet of torque.
The body does its best to imitate what a modern Trans Am would look like, while still maintaining an appropriate level of quality. Painted on graphics, new gauges, stitched carpets, and new body parts bring us the closest we will ever get to a factory 2018 Trans Am.
