The GoldRush Rally concluded in Las Vegas, Nevada this Sunday. Two performance car owners were on their way home when a disaster happened at a gas station in St. Louis, MO, nearly incinerating one of the owners' Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

The Huracan, originally a deep blue color, was the victim of a gasoline fire. Another driver had driven away when the pump was still attached to the vehicle. When the pump cord broke, fuel sprayed out and coated the Huracan. The heat from the exhaust ignited the fuel, and subsequently, the car.

A bystander that witnessed the event had this to say.

"So...this kid, or young guy, pulled out of the station with the gas hose still in his car. It broke away, gas came out and it somehow caught fire. The Lamborghini, being close to the ground, had a hot exhaust pipe and it lit it. Someone else said he was smoking. Someone said a spark. Someone said the Lamborghini was running. All I know is I saw the Lambo guy yell at the kid that he owes him $400,000."

The fire took place around 8 PM local time Saturday evening. As seen in the image above, the Lamborghini was burned down to a point beyond recognition. No one was injured in the event and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Talk about a bad day for everyone.
