Classic cars are a rich and expensive interest, and no model is more expensive than a classic Porsche 959. Assuming it's in one piece that is. Though one auction listing for the Mecum Auction at this year's Monterey Car Week doesn't even follow that rule. This 1987 Porsche 959 is heading to the auction block with a bashed in front and only three wheels.
The listing, which doesn't actually mention any of the damage, estimates that the car will sell for somewhere between $450,000 and $550,000. Instead, they choose to focus on the 2.8-liter twin-turbocharged engine pushing 444 horsepower. Assuming it had all four wheels, it would be capable of a zero to 60 time of only 3.6 seconds.
The last time this vehicle traded hands was just last year when it was sold for $1.3 million and 3,500 miles. The new, busted up listing has it marked for 3,657 miles. Which means the poor Porsche was barely driven before taking a major blow to the front. The vehicle still runs well enough, as shown in the video above. Just make sure you place a four-wheeled dolly under the missing wheel before you go.
If you want to get a hold of a slightly scrunched 959 for significantly less than a regular one, you can participate in the Mecum Monterey auction taking place on Agust 23 through 25.
