Let's be real, not everyone can afford a Singer, especially the 964-generation Porsche 911 resto-mod. Fortunately for us, Theon Design is pushing out their own, yet similar, sports cars. While they may seem the same, the difference is in the price.

Let's say you want a Porsche 911 worked on by Singer. The waiting list is approximately three years, and it comes to a total price of $500,000. While it's a fantastic car, I couldn't manage the 25 different mortgages needed to make that a reality for me. This is where Theon Design comes in. We get a look at the company's upgraded Porsche 964 and restored 911E in a recent video by the Lovecars YouTube channel.

Almost immediately, the vehicle is compared to a Singer. Though the firm's managing director Adam Hawley made a point to distinguish themselves from the line. He states that "Obviously Singers are nice cars, but we wanted to something a bit better and a bit more aggressive." This is quite a claim, given the class and power known from the Singer brand.

Theon Design rebodies their resto-mods with steel and carbon fiber. While customers can opt for the original engines, they have the option to upgrade to supercharged beasts under the hood. The 964 seen in the video was stated to produce around 300 hp.

The most remarkable aspect of Theon Design's works is the price. Instead of the half a million you'd expect from Singer, their service is only $205,000 for a steel car or $244,000 for the carbon-fiber. Okay, this is still a bit out of my price range. But it's still significantly more reasonable than a Singer, that's for sure.
