Ares Design is an 18,000sqm factory based in Modena Italy for the purpose of being a modern-day coachbuilding service. Their first endeavor is a modified Mercedes-AMG G63 called the Ares X-Raid.
The X-Raid has a carbon and aluminum body to shed some pounds, nearly 440 lbs to be precise. With a fettled version of AMG’s 5.5-litre V8 give its a bhp of 750, and a top speed of 155 mph. Inside is where it shines. Said to give the X-Raid a “state of the art contemporary design”, Nappa leather and VIP seats are complemented by a custom sports steering wheel.
“The X-Raid and the Mulsanne-based Coupe are typical examples of Ares Design’s core automotive product offering,”
the company explains,
“limited edition, modern-day coach built cars designed in collaboration with the client and re-engineered and redesigned to offer new levels of performance and style.”
Ares Design has already locked in deals with other services and providers and is looking forward to advancing their efforts to other vehicles, be it mass produces or one-off commissions. A full product plan will be in place some time 2018.
