Coachbuilt vehicles take the wonders of automotive design and push them just another step further. This is especially true with the Stratos.
But this isn't a Lancia Stratos. This modified masterpiece has been redesigned by Pininfarina and built by Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT), they've reworked a Ferrari 430 Scuderia into a new Stratos.
The development of the new Stratos is limited to 25, with the cost of conversion sitting at $617,000. Interested donors will be required to provide their own 430 Scuderia. Despite the costs, MAT has already locked in a number of interesting parties. The remaining slots will most likely be whisked away come the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, where the first new Stratos will be presented.
The remastering process will implement a number of changes to the Scuderia. Such as shortening the wheelbase by 8 inches. The stock 523-horsepower 4.3-liter V-8 remains, but that can be boosted for a fee. There is also a "Safari Version" for more off-road activities.
