If you can afford your own Lamborghini Huracán, you probably have a guy to handle maintenance for you. If you're a (very wealthy) enthusiast who prefers to keep it hands-on, you may know this already. But considering most people are neither of those things, they may be surprised to learn that the luxury car actually has eight different oil drain plugs.

A recent video by Royalty Exotic Cars details the oil change process for the Italian sports car. This gives us dirty commoners an idea of just how different the design and engineering of vehicles like this is.

It begins by locating the oil filter. Nested centrally inside, the mechanic requires a special ratchet extension in order to loosen it up before removing by hand. The vehicle is then lifted into the air, allowing the mechanic to navigate around the underside to the many, many drain plugs. Considering there are eight of them, he has some scrambling to do.

This begs the big question: why? The Huracán's V10 engine is a rather sizable one. With all the twists and turns necessary for the complicated oil system, the multiple drain plugs are the only way to ensure that every pocket is fully emptied.

Once properly oil-free, each plug is given a new set of seals. Only the best for a Huracán, after all. With the main job done, all that's left is to fill it back up with top quality lubricant and set it back on the road.

I'm glad I only have one plug to bother with.
