Normally when you imagine a James Bond vehicle, you think of some sleek, low sedan or coupe full of gadgets and buttons that you probably shouldn't press. This wasn't the case with Spectre, the 2015 film starring Daniel Craig. This movie features an entirely new vehicle by Aston Martin, the DB10, a stunning but expected Jaguar CX-75, and the topic of today's article, a customized Land Rover Defender 110 crew cab SVX.

Only 10 examples of the Defender were built for the film. It's one of the most stunning trucks you could set your eyes on, and one of them is heading to auction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Land Rover utilized their in-house special ops team SVO to work on it in collaboration with Bowler, a British motorsport and customization shop. They began with a standard Defender 110 and gave it a new set of 37-inch all-terrain wheels. It's then given a new chassis reworked into a racing spec designed by Bowler. It uses Rose joints and Bilstein rally dampers, allowing it to drive firm, fast, and over anything unfortunately in its way. This trait is why the vehicle was nicknamed "Bigfoot." How about power? The Defender has a diesel engine boosted up to 185 hp and 368 pound-feet of torque.

Coated entirely in Santorini Black gives is the right mixture of menacing and secret agent. The intimidation factor is further amplified by the floodlights, large Warn winch, and heavy tow rope.

The interior leans toward the off-road ruggedness of the vehicle, offering a full roll cage, four-point seat harness around Recaro racing seats. Those in the back will have stock seat buckles, unfortunately. So try not to take it off any sick flips when you have guests. But if you really want to impress, the mechanical handbrake will make for some fantastic drifting.

It is noted that this vehicle was used in the film extensively, and had marks on the hood from the various stuntmen. Given its history, I certainly wouldn't mind a few battle scars.

The auction will be taking place on July 13 at the Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale. Estimates are currently sitting between $290,000 and $330,000.
