The new ZR1 looks absolutely amazing, which is to be expected from this incredible Corvette line. According to reports, the last of the C7 variants may be the most incredible piece of machinery in the history of the Corvette name. That’s a pretty tall order, but if you plan on bringing back the ZR1, you better be shooting for the highest point possible. Since this is going to be the final model for the generational lineage that created the 650-horsepower Z06 and the C7 Grand Sport, the ZR1 has to close this thing down the right way.

First off, the engine. The ZR1 is reported to be coming with a 6.2-liter engine that is expected to produce a whopping 750-horsepower. It’s going to pull this off by using larger intercoolers and an Eaton supercharger. Reports are also saying that the car will be offered as both a coupe and a convertible. On top of that, you will get the option of a 7-speed Tremec manual transmission of GM’s 10-speed automatic.

The ZR1 will be coming with some new and unique aerodynamic features, including a pretty large rear wing. The wing isn’t seen in this picture as they are trying to keep the car as hidden as possible. Keep in mind, all of this power and attractiveness comes at a price. The $135,000+ price tag on this bad boy makes it one of the most expensive Corvettes ever to be released. At least the C7 series is going to be going out with a massive bang.
