Tree Hugger Speed
We live in 2017, where a Chevrolet Corvette has gone electric. If that's a sin, or progress, that's up to the potential drivers.
The original is anything but environmentally friendly. It's a V8 and meant to speed down the road with a force that says "I might be overcompensating, but I'm doing it in style."
But this particular model? It's supposedly all of these things, without the environmental repercussions.
Specs
Genovation, a small electric carmaker, just launched The GXE, a C6 Z06 Corvette. Instead of seven-liter 505 horsepower V8, it features two electric motors. It's powered by a 44kYh battery system. Meanwhile, the powertrain makes 100 more horsepower over stock, and features a 130-mile range.
To make matters even more dumbfounding, Genovation owns the top speed record, setting this car at 205.6 mph. Remember, this is an electric vehicle.
