Well Chevy recently made a number of announcements with the largest being the upcoming 2014 Chevy Z/28! I must confess that I've always had a passive-aggressive relationship with American Muscle cars in only taking a moderate liking to certain Ford Mustangs and the occasional Dodge Charger I see passing by. Furthermore, I never cared much for the overly chrome lined modern age Camero, that is, UNTIL NOW!

Chevy has really outdone themselves with their latest release with the Z28. The car packs a 500hp/470tq 7.0 liter engine.  They called it the "defining point of the gen five Camaro."  The team behind the car, Reuss also took other liberties such as removing sound deadening, trunk carpet, used thinner glass, removed speakers and even made air conditioning an optional feature! Although they did a good job, the car still weighs in at a heavy 3,800 pounds and one could argue that they could have pumped more horse power out of an engine that big?

So what does all of this mean?  Well, it seems they are attempting to harken back upon their glory days. But with a price tag of nearly $60,000, can it survive? The Z28 Camaro debuts in Sping 2014 and then we'll be able to tell if it can truly compete?
