With less than a week away from SEMA 2017, Toyo Tires have been teasing with some concept art of upcoming vehicles to premiere at the event. Taking up multiple show areas in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Toyo Tires plans to display over 30 different creations. The Cartel 61 AKA "Bonnie" is one of them.
This Chevrolet Impala 1961 was taken by Cartel Customs and worked into a ride fit for a kingpin. Ernie White paint accents the roof and sides while a Roman Red color coats the body. The seats inside are custom-formed by Gabe's Custom Interiors and are met with leather interior accents, kick panels, and a read deck lid. This classic style has modern quality sound, however; An Alpine head unit and amplifiers are paired with 12-inch Type R Subwoofers and matching components, courtesy of Agoura Autosounds.
This car is more than just a pretty face, some hefty modifications have been made under the hood. The 283 Chevy small block has been upgraded and refitted with a 700 R4 transmission. A unique center exhaust has been crafted to give Bonnie some individuality.
Sure its got push, but what about pizzazz? Included is an Accuair air-ride kit with leveling system, along with Forged Narrow Superlite 6R big brakes on the front and 4Rs on the back. The custom Modulare Forged SR1 wheels have Toyo Proxes T1R ultra-high performance tires. SRP two-piece rotors are accompanied by Wilwood BP-10 Smart Pads and powered by a Wilwood master cylinder kit
This American iron is a classic on overdrive, and I love it. The real deal will be on display at SEMA 2017, taking place next week in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
