That's a fantastic promotional image, also.

With vehicles like the Venom F5 and the VelociRaptor, Hennessey Performance is not a force to be reckoned with. Now they're showing what they're capable of with a Camaro ZL1-based demon slayer that'll have dodge sweating, the Exorcist.

This unholy, 883 lb.-ft. muscle care boasts an intense 1,000-horsepower. In a recent speed test, the Camaro hit a top speed of 217 mph. It had a 0-60 of 3.0 seconds and a quarter mile of 10 seconds.

This kind of kick was thanks to a high-flow supercharger, custom camshaft, ported cylinder heads, upgraded valvetrain with new springs, lifters, pushrods and valves, a high-flow intercooler and long-tube stainless steel exhaust headers with high-flow catalytic converters.

While the namesake is to leave Dodge scared, the Exorcist Camaro had its eyes on other high profile targets as well, namely the Corvette ZR1, according to President John Hennessey.

“We wanted to see if the Exorcist could exceed the top speed of the new ZR1 Corvette, which is 213 mph. Mission accomplished. This is just the first high-performance validation test for the Exorcist. We also plan to test our car’s 0-60 mph and quarter-mile performance at the drag strip as well as handling and braking on a road course.”

The new record was set on the 8.5-mile test track at the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas. They confirmed the information via Racelogic Video VBox GPS data logging system.

Hennessey added that, while this achievement is incredible, the Exorcist can still be a daily vehicle.

“The Exorcist offers supercar performance while still retaining everything that you would want in a daily driver with a backseat and room for golf clubs in the trunk. It’s kind of like having a new ZR1 Corvette with room for 4 people, but faster.”

You can lock down your own Exorcist at a Chevrolet Dealer for $119,950.
