The 2018 KTM X-Bow GT4 racer, a motorsport version of KTM’s X-Bow track car, has been revealed for 2018. This variant is intended to reduce the running cost of the vehicle by improving reliability.

Reiter Engineering is leading the X-Bow GT4 project. They've replaced the transmission with a Holinger transmission, which is designed to run twice as long. Longer lasting chassis components have also been added, such as the wheel center locks and suspension wishbones. Additional changes include a new Motec ECU, new wiring, and a more user-friendly control panel in the cabin. According to Reiter, the running cost of the car’s components is now down to about $7.50 per mile.

Hans Reiter of Reiter Engineering had this to say.

“Although we already have a GT4 vehicle that offers one of the best value for money—just take a look at the VLN where there’s no other car that runs faster lap times for less money—we want to further reduce the costs for the teams and the drivers with these updates,”

The KTM X-Bow GT4 began its competitive life in 2015. Since then, the vehicle has achieved victory at Pirelli World Challenge, Australian GT, GT4 European Series, China GT, VLN, Thailand Superseries, and more. Currently, 60 KTM X-Bow GT4s are competing around the world.

You can order a 2018 X-Bow GT4 right now if you so choose, at the low, low price of $183,438.
