The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in has arrived and with it the completion of the partially electric Ioniq lineup. The best thing about this vehicle is its price. Capable of an electric range of 29 miles and has a total range of 650 miles, the Plug-in has a starting price of $25,835.

The $25K is for the base model. The Limited model will be sold for $29,185. Both models qualify for a $4,500 federal tax credit on electrified vehicles. The 2018 Plug-in is $4,550 more expensive than the 2017 Ioniq Electric, which has a range of 110 miles, and a larger tax credit of $7,500.

The plug-in features a 1.6-liter direct-injected Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder pushing up to 104 hp and 109 lb-ft of torque. This works alongside a 60-hp electric motor and an 8.9 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion polymer battery pack. The plug-in gets the same six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as the regular hybrid.

Looking like your standard hybrid car, the Plug-in features LED low-beams, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch TFT gauge cluster display, and an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible infotainment system.

The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in is available now at whatever dealerships have it.
