The Civic Si Hits the Road
Recently, the new 2018 Civic Si has been seen driving around the streets of Ohio near Honda’s US headquarters. Reports have stated that while they are covering it up a bit during the test drives, the final product of the Si looks very similar to the prototype that was shown off at the 2016 Los Angeles auto show. The car has an aggressive front bumper covered in air inlets, larger tires than the standard Civic model, and a slightly less aggressive spoiler than the prototype model.
While things have been tweaked a bit since the auto show, this car still looks amazing. Under the hood, the Civic Si will be running with Honda’s latest 1.5L turbo-charged four-cylinder engine estimated at around 215-225 horsepower. It will have a limited slip differential to help get the power up to the front wheels of the car, and it’s transmission will only be available as a six-speed manual.
This April, make sure you keep an eye out for the new Honda Civic Si when it debuts at the New York auto show. The car will go on sale later this year and the Si package will be available on both the Civic Sedan and the Civic Coupe.
