On Saturday, April 29th, a tornado passed through the Interstate 20 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Canton in Texas. Many cars were flipped and destroyed during this incident and the dealership's showroom and maintenance building were completely flattened by the storm. Just five minutes before the 140+ mph tornado struck the dealership, the general manager issued an emergency evacuation of the premises and nobody was injured.

The dealership's GM said he noticed the sky turning green and was able to hear the howling noises created by the strong winds raging just minutes away from him. In addition to the storm that hit the dealership, at least three other tornados were reported in the general vicinity. Search and rescue is nearly complete in the affected areas and a station has been created where volunteers can aid in finding injured victims.

Other car dealerships in the area had sustained little to no damage from the storm, with the majority of destruction focusing on Interstate 20. Luckily, all of the customers and employees were able to get out of the way in time. Had the general manager not evacuated the area, many people could have been subject to injury or could have potentially lost their lives. Tornados can be one of the most destructive storms and many people across the United States have felt their wrath. Hopefully, the company can get itself back up and running very shortly.
