The 2019 Mustang Bullitt was a 50th anniversary to the movie of the same name, in which Steve McQueen drove the signature Dark Highland Green Mustang around San Francisco. Keeping with this convention, Steeda's modified Mustang will be called the Steve McQueen Edition. The company had help with motorsport and engineering organization McQueen Racing, which is owned and operated by McQueen's son, Chad. Chad stated the following.
“Ford’s Mustang has always been a big part of my dad’s legend. I wanted to kick the already strong performance up several notches without losing that essential style that makes this car so desirable.”
From the sound of the specs, he did a fantastic job. While keeping much of the physical shape the same, the vehicle's performance has undergone notable improvements. This includes Nitto NT555 G2 High-Performance tires, custom floor mats, an improved dashboard, and a unique serial number on a dashboard plaque.
The car's 5.0-liter V-8 engine will come equipped with a new cold air intake, boosting the horsepower up to 500. If you're wanting even more, there will be a supercharger upgrade pushing it to 775 hp, a roll cage option, and a carbon fiber driveshaft option.
Interested parties can order the standard conversion for $20,995, not including the $47,495 for a donor Mustang Bullitt. Only 300 examples are planned for production each year, with four U.S. Location capable of the transformation.
