Rocket League is a very popular game that is available on Xbox, PC, and Playstation. It's the sequel to the game Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars and people really like it. It's basically crazy car soccer. I'm a huge gamer myself and I've logged almost 900 hours into the game, but some people have wanted to take it a bit further. This new "battle cars" trend that's sweeping over the gearhead world has to do with making sporty cars off-road ready. While these cars certainly aren't sporty, people decided to have some fun with the whole Rocket League idea.
As you can see, these guys decided to put excavators in net to block the soccer ball. Meanwhile, two teams of 4 cars each race around to hit a giant soccer ball in their teams favor. Not only is this crazy, it's also a tradition. This video here is their 3rd Annual Fastracs auto soccer game and it's crazy to watch.
Now, obviously these guys are all pretty decent drivers. They're not going to throw out 8 competitive 17-year-olds and watch them wreak havoc on one another, and I'm also assuming that the cars are pretty well taken care of in terms of safety. You can't see the inside of the vehicles very well, but I think they're probably pretty well padded. This is not something I recommend you do with your weekend flag football team, but this is a ton of fun to watch and I'm curious see if this trend evolves a bit in the coming years.
