Road rage can be an incredibly scary thing. If somebody cuts you off, naturally you get a little bit upset. It bothers you, which may cause you to ride close behind them or let out a honk and a finger. That would be considered aggressive driving, not road rage. Road rage is a criminal offense that send people to prison. It involves an act of violence taken out on another driver and was the cause of a death yesterday on Thursday, March 30th in Georgia.

On U.S. 78 in DeKalb County a driver was left in critical condition after a shot was fired from a gun on the highway. The eastbound side of the highway was shut down for about an hour and half while police were evaluating the scene and putting out a fire that started when the victim crashed his car after being shot. Reports say that the driver of a black Altima got into an argument with the driver of a Jeep. The Altima driver then fired a shot into the Jeep.

The bullet struck the Jeep's driver and caused him to lose control of his vehicle. It crashed on the right side of the highway and police searched the highway for the Altima driver. The man responsible for the shooting has not been found and the Jeep owner was rushed to the Grady Memorial Hospital. While this isn't a very common occurrence, road rage can be extremely dangerous and isn't to be taken lightly at all. You never know what's going through the head of another driver and sometimes it's best to just let things go, especially on the road.
