The Shelby GT500 was a true work of art from the late 1960s. Finding a good one in present day requires a fair bit of luck and even more cash. Recently Revology Cars, a Florida based business, decided to ease these frustrations. They have developed their own modernized version of the 1967 Shelby GT500. No luck required, but you still will need to shell out some considerable cash.

No slightly different names either, this is an officially licensed re-creation of the original 1967 Shelby GT500. It's gotten more than just fresh parts, however. Various upgrades have been included to better fit this vehicle into the capabilities of the modern age. upgrades like three-link rear suspension, double-wishbone front suspension, fiberglass hood, LED lighting, rack and pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors, a limited-slip rear differential, and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

As for what you see behind the wheel, the inside gets air conditioning, brushed aluminum trim, power windows and locks, power adjustable leather front seats, and a Bluetooth enabled four-speaker audio system. If you still aren't satisfied, customers can order a seven-speaker infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality.

The most important question remains. Does it move like a car from the late 60s? It absolutely does not. Fitted with a modern Roush 5.0-liter V-8 engine and supercharger, this GT500 is capable of around 600 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. With 6 speeds each, customers can choose between manual or automatic. The price of each varies slightly.

The price tag for the base manual car sits at $219,000 while the automatic is $222,840. The price will rise as you add more bells and whistles. Revology made the announcement via a YouTube video viewable below.
