Porsche has finally unveiled the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, stacked with a top speed of 211 mph, 700 horsepower, and rear-wheel drive. They have also claimed that the car will be more civilized this time around, but I'm here scratching my head about that claim. Its predecessor had 612 horsepower and had a 205 mph top speed, so I'm not sure how moving in the opposite direction will make it a better daily driver.

The only change that can be considered more civilized in my opinion is the fact that the car now has a 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission, knocking it from 3 pedals to 2. The new GT2 RS has a titanium exhaust, carbon fiber seats, 325-section rear tires, black trim, and an absolutely gigantic rear wing. Again, I'm not sure how this is supposed to be comfortable and civilized, but keep doing your thing Porsche.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure the rear wing is bigger than my dining room table and that is the only part of the car that I find ugly as hell. Maybe tone it down a little bit for the next model, but hey, it was a really good try. All-in-all, I'm saying that this thing is not as civilized as Porsche is claiming, but let's get it on the road and see for ourselves.
