The partnership between the two organizations has resulted in a handful of unique creations, including the H2 Speed, a hydrogen-powered truck. Various electric vehicles have appeared a Motor shows over the last year, all the creation of the HKG-Pininfarina partnership.
Their two latest creations both claim to have 402 hp, an output thanks to a proprietary electric drivetrain. An onboard range extender allows the vehicles to reach maximum ranges of around 621 miles. Both vehicles can reach a top speed of 155 mph. The sedan has a 0-62 mph time of 4.5 seconds, while the SUV can do the same in 4.7 seconds instead.
With any modern technology, the interior is full of modern style and amenities. Floating touchscreens accompany the front and rear passenger seats. The sedan has white leather bucket seats and a curved dash. The SUV has black and tan seats with centered stitching and raised headrests, giving it a more cozy feeling.
Silvio Pietro Angori, Pininfarina CEO, had this to say about the vehicles.
“Hybrid Kinetic Group is a sound, crucial partner for Pininfarina. We are creating a new range of electric vehicles together and preparing the way for their commercial debut with the presentation of the first Hybrid Kinetic produced car for the international market. The three models presented in Beijing are just another step forward in a long-term and fruitful relationship.”
While currently under partnership, Pininfarina intends to launch their own electric products once they relaunch as an all-electric premium car brand. Their first car will be a hypercar intending to rival the Bugatti Chiron.
