The Ford F-150 is one of the most popular pickup trucks in the market. The Ford F-150 Raptor is one of the most popular upgrades to the standard. But there's always room for more. Namely, room for a V8 engine.
PaxPower is appealing to those who miss the power and volume of the larger engine but enjoy the modern luxury of the Raptor. They've opened a new option, offering to convert regular V8 F-150s into Raptor variants. Simply bring them a 2015 or newer model.
It begins with the suspension, which is replaced with the factory standard parts for Raptors. This includes Fox internal bypass shocks, upper and lower control arms, CV axles, tie rods, brake lines, leaf springs, bump stops, and the springs. Since it comes with new parts, it comes with a 2-year warranty.
As a result, you'll have 6.0 additional inches over stock, a 4.0 inches wider suspension, and a 4.0- to 6.0-inch lift. But wait, there's more! To properly emulate the Raptor, PaxPower will install Raptor fenders, the hood, bed sides, fender flares, trim pieces, bumpers, and skid plates. This full conversion costs a fair $24,950.
That's it, right? WRONG. It doesn't stop there. Those interested in even more punch can opt for the supercharger kit, which installs a Whipple-style supercharger on a 5.0 V8 engine paired with a 132-mm billet throttle and an air-to-water intercooler. This raises it up to 758 horsepower, nearly twice that of a standard Raptor. It also raises the price tag by $12,450.
