There are few folks in the auto industry with as familiar a name as John DeLorean. The creator of the classic automobile has had an interesting life both before and after the reveal of the DeLorean car. To tell his story, a new dramatized documentary is set to release in the near future.

Titled "Framing John DeLorean", the documentary will release on June 7, starring Alec Baldwin as DeLorean himself. The film features a combination of time-accurate footage, interviews with his children, and filmed scenes.



The film tells the story of DeLorean as an engineer and a businessman. The DeLorean Motor Company struggled financially while the FBI was investigating him for cocaine trafficking, an action taken to keep the company afloat.

We don't expect the film to be an entirely honest representation of DeLorean's life, but a more dramatic one. Either way, it should make for a good showing.
