Netflix, the popular online TV/movie streaming service, will be investing more in automotive television. According to a press release by the company, we can expect two new car shows soon, as well as a new season of Fastest Car.

The first new show is called “Hyperdrive.” Netflix describes it as a "high-stakes tournament series" where a number of drivers compete in a hectic obstacle course. Filming for Hyperdrive is taking place now in Rochester, New York, and will be producing 10 episodes set to air in 2019.

The other show is called “Car Masters: Rust to Riches.” This game show like broadcast is yet another restoration show. Mark Towle at Gotham Garage leads the series, where they take junkers and upgrade them into something worth far more. Ya know, like Counting Cars, Graveyard Carz, Desert Car Kings, and so on. It's certain now a new idea. Regardless, Car Masters will launch eight episodes on September 14.

As for Fastest Car. The documentary-style show will be entering a second season, where sleeper cars are put up against flashy supercars. They'll also be covering the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship. With any luck, we'll see some insider information about the major race.

All of these shows will be coming to Netflix in the near future.
