With the economy where it's at right now, everyone is looking for ways to save money. 25-year-old Jacob DiMaria found an affordable way to build his own 1965 Ford Mustang convertible: by making it entirely out of snow.

We confess, this was no cost saving idea. DiMaria, a technologist at Ford Motor Co., says the snow vehicle spawned from sibling rivalry.

"A few weeks ago we had some really good packing snow so I made a little snow dog out on the back deck and my brother, that same day, he made a bear. ... So when we had all this snow, I was like, 'Oh I gotta step it up,'"

As spur-of-the-moment as it sounds, it actually took DiMaria around 10 hours to make, spread between 2 days. He started with a large block of snow and carved the car's shape out with a shovel.

DiMaria admits that the proportions are a bit off, but brushes off the issue with "it is what it is."
