When you loosen up the definition of a "car," you really expand on how entertaining the idea of a modified car becomes. For the Grind Hard Plumbing Company, this means a 70 mph Barbie kids car.

With an idea in mind, the modders found the pink plastic go-kart online, fitting them with a number of improvements to facilitate the fastest speed possible. It begins with replacing the small electric motor in the back with a dirtbike engine in the front. The weight shift makes for better drifting, after all. The engine is a bit larger than the pretty pink frame was prepared for, so a section of it sticks out of a hole cut in the hood.

The wheels were replaced with proper rubber. A wide body mod kit was added to help fit the wheels cleanly. A handbrake was also added, for "safety."

The vehicle is continuously in development. According to their latest video, embedded above, the Barbie Kart can achieve speeds over 70 mph in the right conditions.

Now the real question: when can I order one of my own.
