Lister may not hold as much sway in the world of motorsports as they used to, but they're by no means a small fish. The Lister Knobbly race car was a legend of the 1950s, and now it might be coming back.
The automaker posted a teaser on Friday of a modernized Knobbly concept. Rumored to appear this March 5 at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, the teaser shows a sleeker, smoother form, while still retaining many of the familiar aspects of the original Knobbly. This includes the side-mounted exhaust, for example.
Not much else was said about the upcoming concept. The specs, including powertrain, remains a mystery. Lister developed tuned variations of the F-Type and F-Pace, though, both of which used a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pushing around 670 horsepower. So it wouldn't be out of line to think that the Knobbly would have something similar.
stay tuned as the story develops, most likely during this year's Geneva Motor Show.
