Ominous prophecies and dreams had long foretold the downfall of the cosmos and of its gods and goddesses along with it. When the first of these prophesied events came to pass, we will see Koenigsegg's newest creation, the successor of Agera, Ragnarok.
No, it's not the end times of Norse mythology, but the automakers newest creation. Reports are showing that Koenigsegg is developing an impressive 1,440 horsepower vehicle, dubbed after Ragnarok. Granted, these numbers are rumors, and currently unconfirmed.
Should the source be trusted, the Ragnarok would also have a 2,645-pound curb weight and 9,000 rpm redline. All of these numbers sound reasonable enough, considering the Agera RS was capable of 1,360 hp.
The Swedish supercar was named after the mythological event where the cosmos is said to be destroyed and reborn, resulting in the death of many Norse gods and goddesses.
We've known that Koenigsegg planned to succeed the Agera since their tease in June. The automaker wanted to create a vehicle more race-like and more capable than the Agera. Regardless, we won't see anything official until the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
