It starting to reach that time of the year, where major companies are teasing their Super Bowl ads.

Kia released a 15-second teaser video for a 60-second ad spot due to take place during Super Bowl LII. The scene advertises the Kia Stinger, or in this case, 2 of them. Racing legend Emerson Fittipaldi is seen leaning up against one, giving a nod to an unidentified driver in the other, both of which are inside of an abandoned race track.

The ad expects to air during the 3rd quarter of the football game, which takes place on February 4.

Kia is putting quite a bit of faith in the Stinger, calling it the “highest performing and most anticipated production model in company history.” They're hoping to take on the higher end sports sedan market, competing with BMW, Lexus, and Audi.

I'm not sure of Kia can keep things interesting enough to hold my attention the entire time, especially if it's on an abandoned race track. But if it's being saved for the Super Bowl's 3rd quarter, I can only assume it'll be pretty good.
