Moab means more than just explosive, it's the home of Jeep's annual Easter Safari, Moab, Utah. And to commemorate it this year, the automaker is releasing a limited run JL Wrangler dubbed the Moab Edition.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition begins its life as a standard four-door Wrangler Sahara. Mixed with a number of parts from the more rugged Rubicon, and you have a vehicle sitting comfortably between class and toughness. All of it is held up by a set of 32-inch Mud Terrain tires on 17-inch Rubicon wheels wearing a coat of Low-Gloss Black paint. Of course, the word MOAB can be found on the side of the hood.

The interior is where the Sahara roots stand out. Leather-trimmed seats complement the leather dashboard. It features modern amenities such as blind-spot monitors, rearview camera, large infotainment system, and more.

On the mechanical side, we see a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case and a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential. This gives it amazing off-road skills. Otherwise, expect the standard engine and transmission present in the Sahara.

Jeep has yet to reveal how much one of these limited run vehicles will cost you. Since a Sahara starts around $40,000, we can expect the Moab Edition to cost a good bit more.
