As many of you may know, the Honda Civic Type R has only been in production for a few months. Well, apparently JAS Motorsport has decided to thrill car enthusiasts ever by announcing plans for the new Type R TCR.

So what exactly is TCR? Why, the TCR International Series is a moderate-speed racing series that features compact cars from manufacturers such as Audi, Renault, Honda, Hyundai, and Opel, Lada, Kia, and more. So what you now know is that the Honda Civic Type R TCR is for the TCR series.

So what are the stats of this beast? Well according to JAS:
  • Engine: 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
  • Horsepower: 330
  • Manual Transmission: Six-speed
  • Weight: 2,755 pounds (manual), 2,833 pounds (sequential)
Additionally, the Civic comes with new rear suspension, anti-rollbar, an aerokit and redesigned exterior.

And when does this baby become available? Expect the 2018 Honda Civic Type R TCR to be available later 2017, though deliveries will begin in December.
