When you think cars, most people think about Italy, Germany, and the United States. But Japan is one of the leaders in automotive development, home of familiar names like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru. But even then, we didn't expect the country to be home to one of the most impressive Lamborghini gatherings we've ever seen.

To celebrate the premiere of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in Japan, organizers held their own Lamborghini Day. Over 200 Lambos gathered in the city of Yokohama, complete with special guests Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali and Italy’s ambassador to Japan, Giorgio Starace.

The 200 drivers would also participate in a tour around the city center in their cars, letting pedestrians see a parade of Huracans, Aventadors and twin-turbo V8 Uruses.

After the "parade," the automaker held a big party for everyone. This included a charity auction to raise funds for victims of natural disasters in Osaka, Hokkaido, and other affected Japanese locations. The proceeds went to the Japan Red Cross.

Domenicali spoke about the event, and why Japan was given such special treatment.

“Japan is a very important market for us. I would like to reinforce our gratitude to the long-time patronage of our Japanese customers who have built such strong bonds with the marque. We stay very much in touch with our customers here, and look forward to building on the marque’s strength with the Japanese market introduction of our new Super SUV Urus, which brings an even broader audience into the brand.”

Enjoy, Japan.
