Infiniti tells us that the concept “previews a new generation of Infiniti vehicles and represents the first manifestation of Infiniti’s new form language.” This sounds like they are looking to revamp their style. Whether that means the body or under the hood is beyond me, but they're clearly putting a lot of faith in it.
Infiniti’s head of global design, Alfonso Albaisa, had this to say:
“seamless and stunning new design philosophy demonstrating Infiniti artistry in the new age of autonomy and breakthrough drivetrains.”
Albaisa also stated that the concept will be an evolution of traditional sedan architecture, so we know it's a sedan at least. Otherwise, the announcement was oversaturated with showy language and buzzwords. We still know almost nothing about the vehicle other than how revolutionary it supposedly is.
The full concept will be revealed on January 15, be sure to check back here for the details when it happens.
