Icon began with modifying Broncos and Land Cruisers, though it was important that the company developed a brand. Now that Icon trucks speak for themselves, they felt they were ready to revisit a classic. Founder Jonathan Ward had this to say.
"Ten years ago, we had to create a different aesthetic when we launched the brand with the BR Bronco and FJ Land Cruiser. Now we can afford ourselves the luxury to do something much more stock; I’ve been wanting to evolve in this direction anyway."
The Old School BR starts with an Art Morrison chassis. The trim levels took a heavy inspiration from the original Bronco, unsurprisingly, while the rest of the vehicle took the best of all the various generations. The OS BR still has all the modern amenities of an Icon vehicle, like a Mustang GT 5.0-liter V-8 engine pushing 426 horsepower. You can also choose between a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox.
No price tag has been set, nor the necessary production time. But if you put your order in now, you'll likely be behind the wheel in under a year.
