So it appears that Hyundai has yet another special announcement coming this year when SEMA rolls around. That announcement is told to be an even more powerful version of the current gas saving sportster the Veloster Turbo. The current version already puts out around 200hp but the new beast is reportadly going to hit 370 horsepower! All from a 1.6 liter engine!
Fox Marketing, the company in charge of this insane upgrade has said that they have installed a new turbocharger, a front mounted intercooler, water-methanol injection, high-flow exhaust along with an ECU retune. The only catch is that they are running on 101 octane performance fuel. Sad days there indeed.
They also mentioned the handling has been upgraded to include a fully adjustable coil-over suspension, strut brace and sway bars, new 6 piston brakes, front calipers with carbon fiber ducting and 13.6 inch wavy cut rotors. Other modifications include an upgraded "aggressive" exterior and special racing seats from Takata with a 4 point harness.
So if you're wanting to check this bad boy out, head over to the 2013 SEMA auto show in Las Vegas on November 5.
