With the SEMA show in Las Vegas on the horizon, more and more interesting projects are coming out of the woodwork. This time Hyundai and Bisimoto Engineering have collaborated to create a modified Hyundai Ioniq.

The modded Ioniq will be sporting low roll-resistance tires, aluminum brake calipers, optimised supercharging, NGK spark plugs, special low-friction engine oil, and a pulse-chamber exhaust system. All these give it a fuel economy of over 80mpg.

The external changes are more apparent to the naked eye. The modded Ioniq will be fitted with a lower suspension thanks to Progress Performance coilovers, One-piece carbon-fiber wheels, and a ‘Bisimoto Dream’ aero kit. This kit consists of a new front splitter, side splitters, and rear wheel covers.

“This innovative concept integrates the best hypermiling, economy, and friction technologies,”

While sleek styles and fast speeds make for a jaw-dropping car, the efficiency of this modified Hyundai Ioniq is its own kind of stunning.
