Almost 2 weeks ago we reported on Hennessey teasing the premiere of their upcoming Venom F5. Now that SEMA 2017 has taken place, we finally have the details about this sleek speedster,

The Venom F5 is packed with a twin-turbo V-8 pushing out 1,600 hp, controlled by a seven-speed single-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. The rear wheel drivetrain is reportedly capable of going from 0 to 186mph in less than 10 seconds, and 0 to 249 in less than 30 seconds. Projected top speeds are said to be greater than 300 miles per hour.

The Venom's body, which was specially designed by Hennessey with the intention of maximizing the aerodynamics and weight reduction. Through their efforts, the Venom F5 is said to have a drag coefficient of 0.33. That's ridiculously low.

While the Venom F5 was shown at SEMA sporting Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires, it is not the official tire for the vehicle and discussions are taking place with other tire manufacturers on what tire line would be best.

How common will this ride be though? Hennessey says they only plan to build 24 copies of the Venom F5, each with a price tag of $1.6 million. Despite the low product count, a facility in Sealy, Texas, will be dedicated to the production of the Venom F5. They expect the first orders to be filled until 2019 as the earliest.

While Hennessey claims a +300mph top speed, they don't intend to actually perform a speed test until after the first orders have been completed. So it will be a while still until a solid number can be reported.
