Eventually, we will master the roads and take to driving in the sky. ANd when we do, we'll need tires. Thankfully Goodyear has unveiled their concept tires that double as propellers at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

Dubbed the Aero, they are a narrow tire that replaces the spokes with a series of slanted propeller blades, which would exhume air through them when spun, similar to how modern day drones work.

These concept tires would theoretically allow a driver to drive on paved roads and through the air with the same equipment. These tires would rotate sideways until they are horizontal to the ground, initiating vertical take off and landings. The tire also utilizes the uncommon idea of airless tires. The rubber ends to replace the open air inside with solid structures.

The tire would even have their own artificial intelligence and optical sensors built in. This could inform the driver of road conditions, tire damage, and more.

The boring side of this is that Goodyear was clear to express that these are conceptual tires and in no way ready for official production. We can dream, can't we?
