Terrafugia is a super disappointing company that you probably don't hear about all that often. They're working on flying cars, and to no surprise, they have not yet created one. Apparently all of their failed attempts and empty promises are paying off though, seeing as how Geely has more than an interest in them.

Geely is the parent company to Volvo, which is probably more commonly known. They have recently been trying to get an automotive empire, purchasing Volvo back in 2010, buying a large portion of Proton, and owning a 51 percent majority share of Lotus. These guys mean business, and I guess they also want flying cars.

The mission of Terrafugia is to "create practical flying cars that enable a new dimension of personal freedom." Look guys, I really love the enthusiasm. Here's my thing. If I'm driving down the street and I have to pull to the right to avoid the 40-something year old guy that is slowing creeping over the center lines because he's sending a "super important email", how the hell do you expect people to fly around?

That same dude is going to accidentally fly in front of a passenger plane and create a tragedy. I'm gonna have to pass on this one.
