It looks like big news is coming out of Ford. A new teaser promo video shows what appears to be a Mustang Hybrid.
The overall tone of the video, embedded below, is in regards to Ford's plan for the future. They want to promote the idea they're working toward building a better future. What has our attention, however, is a small snippet at the 37-second mark. We see a Mustang, illuminated in blue beams. The familiar logo brandished in the center. While it looks like the current sixth generation model, the overall design appaers to be a bit smoother than that.
When questioned, a Ford representative stated that the video is "a glimpse of the future. We are excited to show you more at the right time."
Current speculation leads to a seventh generation Mustang with a hybrid powertrain. If the neon light system is true, then it will at least have a 4 cylinder V8 engine. Odds are, we won't see such a vehicle until at least 2020, the time that Ford claims a new hybrid will be released.
