To celebrate World Emoji Day, Ford has released a new video, showing the rigorous process of building, designing, and test driving an emoji car.
The tongue in cheek promotion showcases is meant as a light-hearted joke, but it's been a genuine effort by the Brand since 2018 when Ford submitted the same design to the Unicode Consortium (the people in charge of keyboard characters).

They're putting in a valiant effort for their emoji, that's for sure. But we won't know if it was worth it for a while still. The next batch of new emojis won't be until 2020.
