The Ford 2018 GT ’67 Heritage Edition is a truly attractive vehicle. It first blessed our eyes last year at the Monterey Car Week. Now the vehicle has been delivered to Hennessey to do with as they please.

The ’67 Heritage Edition is a throwback to the 4 Hours of Le Mans victory from the firm in 1967. The red paint with white stripes and No.1 graphics are a homage to the original vehicle. This version has been given all the modern amenities, however. It features 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum wheels, red brake calipers, silver wing mirror caps and can be optioned with an exposed carbon fiber package.

There's no word yet on what Hennessey plans to do with the supercar. While company owner John Hennessey could very well keep it in his private collection for recreational driving, we might also see some modifications made. The Texas-based tuner has a history of modifying powerful performance cars, and this seems like an excellent opportunity to see what they can do.

Regardless of his plans, Hennessey (the person and the brand) has our respect. They've made some amazing vehicles over a long time, and are perfectly deserving of this gift.

See John? I'm your friend. How about letting me borrow the GT for a quick test run?
